Felix Roasting Co. opened its first Western flagship at the historic Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado. The eye-catching space sports dark blue velvet couches, peachy pink-trimmed doors, dainty floral-printed wallpapers, and vintage portrait paintings. Try the Hickory Smoked S’mores Latte topped with a decadent roasted marshmallow for a delicious pre-or-post ski day pick-me-up.
Devoción Coffee (Williamsburg, NY)
Devoción Coffee’s industrial-fashioned Williamsburg outpost is an ideal early-morning coffee spot. Exposed brick walls, broken-in oversized leather couches, and an extensive vertical garden illuminated by an overhead glass-covered atrium create a classic laidback Brooklyn ambiance. From farm-to-cup in as little as ten days, which is lightyears quicker than the industry norm of six to 12 months, their coffee beans and coffee elixirs are the freshest in town.
Dripoly Café Pattaya (Pattaya City, Thailand)
Dripoly Café is an airy, minimalist oasis amidst Pattaya’s bustling city core. The name “Dripoly” is derived from the combination of drip coffee and geometry, reflecting the owner’s passion for geometry and art. We’d love to enjoy their signature concoction, called Noir—a combination of a coffee and milk shot, topped with a charcoal mousse made from high-quality white chocolate and garnished with a thin rice crisp for texture—paired with one of their dessert-like pastries.
Rockit Coffee Co. (Whistler, BC)
Rockit Coffee Co. is Whistler’s funkiest coffee shop at the base of Whistler Blackcomb ski resort. Acclaimed Vancouver interior design studio Daniel Meloché Design dressed the space with ’70s and ’80s-themed decor: pops of yellow, antique microphone heads as lights, glittering disco balls, and nostalgic boomboxes add a groovy feel to this cafe. Cheekily called “Espresso’s Greatest Hits,” their complete coffee program highlights beans from around the globe.
Dodo Bird Donuts (La Jolla, CA)
Housed within the landmark “Piano Building” from 1949, Dodo Bird Donuts transformed its historic host building into an upscale coffee & donut shop. This aesthetic café is enveloped in a coastal-inspired palette of sage green, complemented by rattan light shades. One of their Cajeta Latte (espresso, Mexican cinnamon, and milk caramel) or Sea Salt Mocha (espresso, TCHO dark chocolate, and sea salt) with a freshly made donut would hit the spot.
Third Wave Kiosk (Torquay, Australia)
Amidst the untouched expanse of Victoria’s shoreline, the rolling exterior of Third Wave mirrors the ocean waves below—the tiny 200-square-foot coffee kiosk duals as the neighboring beach’s changing station for surfers and beachgoers alike.
Coffee & Coconuts (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
Not your typical cannabis-scented coffee shop in Amsterdam, Coffee & Coconuts smells only of fragrant coffee beans. Its gray exterior opens to a cozy two-story brunch setting: plush bean bag chairs (pun intended), floating potted plants, and intimate seating corners set the scene for early morning coffee talk. We recommend ordering a cappuccino made with their Ayu House Blend: a layered, candy-sweet coffee with chocolate and blackberries from Brazil, Costa Rica, and Ethiopia.

With multiple locations in San Francisco, Ritual’s Haight Street coffee bar is our favorite minimalist, design-forward post drenched in its hallmark red-and-white branding and naturally lit from its expansive windows—which makes it the perfect space to either whip out your laptop and crank out work, or grab-and-go a cup of joe before exploring the Golden City.
